PROJECT TYPES
The work I take on is shaped by place, lived experience, and long-term engagement. While every project is different, the following areas represent the kinds of work I’m most often involved in.
Tourism & Destination DEVELOPMENT
I work with tourism operators, destination organizations, regional partners, and motorsport brands to create place-based storytelling that reflects the reality of a region — not just its highlights. This includes documenting landscapes, routes, and communities through motorcycle travel and overland movement, in ways that support responsible visitation, realistic expectations, and long-term tourism value.
By integrating motorcycles as both a tool and a lens, my work connects destinations to audiences who value self-directed travel, exploration, and meaningful time in place. My approach prioritizes local context and an understanding of how stories influence perception, visitation, and impact — particularly in rural and remote regions of British Columbia. This often involves integrating brand partnerships into broader regional narratives without compromising accuracy, integrity, or local context.
Route CREATION & Research
Much of my work begins well before content production — through field research, route scouting, and extended time on the ground. Traveling by motorcycle allows me to assess access, distance, terrain, infrastructure, fuel range, gear requirements, and seasonal realities in ways that desk-based planning can’t replicate.
This research supports adventure travel routes, backcountry guides and guiding services, regional tourism initiatives, and product-led storytelling for motorcycle and equipment brands that require first-hand knowledge, technical awareness, and practical insight from real-world use.
Adventure Travel Content Production
I create photography, video, and written content grounded in lived experience — documenting travel as it actually unfolds on the road and trail. This often includes long-distance motorcycle travel, remote environments, and demanding conditions where preparation, equipment choices, and decision-making matter.
The result is content that feels credible to experienced riders and adventure travellers, while remaining accessible to audiences discovering motorcycle-based travel and exploration for the first time. For brands, this means assets that demonstrate products in context — used as intended, over time, and in real conditions rather than staged scenarios.
Documentary & Long-Form MEDIA PROJECTS
Alongside tourism and commercial work, I am developing long-form and documentary storytelling projects focused on backcountry travel, movement through remote landscapes, and the people connected to those places.
My role in these projects is centred on creative direction, story development, and on-camera participation. Drawing on experience working within motorcycle film productions, I understand what it takes to bring complex stories to life in challenging environments — from planning and logistics to pacing, narrative clarity, and audience connection.
These projects are built collaboratively, often bringing together filmmakers, photographers, and brand partners to tell grounded, experience-led stories. While this area of my practice is intentionally evolving, it reflects a long-term commitment to building thoughtful, honest narratives of backcountry travel and adventure — and informs how I approach all client and brand collaborations.
